Overview
Our client is launching a modern luxury fine jewelry business in the United States, beginning with an appointment-led showroom on Madison Avenue in New York. This Showroom Manager will be the founding retail hire in the market, responsible for opening the showroom, creating a high-touch client experience, and building revenue, relationships, and operating standards from day one. The role is designed to grow into broader store leadership as the Madison Avenue storefront opens, making it a strong opportunity for a builder who wants to help shape a new luxury retail business at an early stage.
Responsibilities
- Open and lead the New York showroom, ensuring the space operates to a premium luxury standard from launch.
- Own the full client experience from arrival through follow-up in an appointment-driven environment.
- Convert marketing-generated appointments into sales and long-term client relationships through strong hospitality, product knowledge, and storytelling.
- Build a clientele from the ground up and maintain a disciplined, active client development approach.
- Capture and manage all client activity in CRM, using data consistently to drive outreach, follow-up, and repeat business.
- Present the collection with credibility across fine jewelry categories at a $5,000 to $50,000 price point, including bridal.
- Explain the positioning, design point of view, and value of the collection in a way that is clear, memorable, and aligned with the company’s luxury standards.
- Hire, onboard, and train a small showroom team, beginning with early key hires and expanding as volume grows.
- Coach the team to build clientele and manage client relationships with the same consistency and discipline expected of the manager.
- Oversee day-to-day showroom operations, including:
- Appointment flow and client readiness
- Inventory control and presentation standards
- Reporting and sales tracking
- Overall upkeep of a polished, service-driven environment
- Partner closely with marketing leadership to align appointment generation with showroom conversion and client retention.
- Share client feedback and market insight with founders and cross-functional partners, including reactions to assortment, pricing, and selling messages.
- Help establish the operating foundation for the future Madison Avenue storefront and step into expanded leadership as the business grows.
Requirements
- Experience in fine jewelry or a comparable high-ticket luxury category with a strong relationship-based selling model.

- Experience leading, hiring, and developing a small sales team.
- Strong clienteling and CRM discipline, with experience using Zoho or a comparable platform.
- Ability to represent an emerging luxury brand with confidence, credibility, and polished communication.
- Fluency selling at a $5,000 to $50,000 price point.
- Bridal experience is strongly preferred.
- Background in appointment-led, referral-driven, or highly personalized selling environments is preferred.
- Store opening or showroom launch experience is preferred.
- Existing New York luxury client relationships are a plus.
- Comfort working in a founder-led business with close access to senior leadership.
- Clear understanding of early-stage growth environments, including realistic first-year ramp expectations and a hands-on approach to building demand.
- Must be able to work on-site in New York on a full-time basis.
