Chief Engineer

Summary

The Chief Engineer oversees building and IT operations at RH Guesthouse. This role leads facilities operations and standards while ensuring exceptional service, safety, privacy, and security for associates and guests.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development and standards for facilities-related operations.
• Deliver world-class service to internal and external partners.
• Ensure privacy, security, and safety for associates and guests.
• Support the Guesthouse Leader in attracting, retaining, coaching, and developing associates.
• Use strong communication and problem-solving skills to address complex challenges.

Requirements

• 7-10 years of hospitality experience, including at least 5 years leading a building facilities team.
• Certified Chief Engineer; luxury hospitality experience preferred.
• Expertise in hotel information technology.
• Preferred certifications include NYS Certified Pool Operator, FDNY Fire Life and Safety, HVAC, electrical, or plumbing.
• Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays, and travel occasionally.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and lift 50 pounds.
• Multilingual candidates are desired.
