Counter Manager - NYC Flagship

Summary

The Counter Manager leads sales and customer experiences for a luxury beauty counter, combining hands-on makeup and skincare services with sales leadership. This role drives personal and counter sales through in-store and digital selling, manages vendor relationships, and ensures the counter is organized and customer-ready. The manager balances selling, training, and event coordination to build a loyal customer following.

Responsibilities

• Perform makeup applications, skincare analyses, and product recommendations tailored to customer goals
• Set and achieve personal and counter sales goals using in-store and digital tools including text and social media
• Manage scheduling and execution of vendor events and promotions and maintain strong vendor relationships
• Process sales, refunds, and exchanges and open customer accounts to build loyalty
• Maintain counter presentation, organization, and cleanliness while staying current on beauty trends and product knowledge

Requirements

• Passion for beauty, makeup application, and skincare with excellent customer service skills
• Ability to connect with customers, handle concerns empathetically, and contribute to a positive team environment
• Strong multitasking, organization, follow-through, and a high level of ownership and accountability
• Drive to achieve sales goals and comfort using networking and digital selling tools
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends and perform continuous movement for 6-8 hours with occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
