Senior data analyst on the Inventory Optimization team responsible for driving data driven decisions across returns optimization, intra network movement, and initial positioning. The role blends advanced analytics, business partnership, and coaching to translate complex operational data into actionable strategies and tools for Operations and Merchandising.
Responsibilities
- Lead analytical projects to optimize core inventory functions including returns processing and intra network flow.
- Ingest, structure, and analyze data from varied sources while documenting assumptions and limitations.
- Design and deploy analytics toolkits such as reports and dashboards to enable operational decision making.
- Synthesize complex analyses into clear narratives and visualizations for non technical stakeholders and leadership.
- Partner with data engineering to support ETL and robust data pipelines.
- Ensure consistent metric definitions across Operations and Merchandising analyses.
- Coach peers on BI tools and advanced analytical techniques.
- Replace manual reporting with scalable, automated solutions.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience as a Data Analyst, BI Analyst, or similar role.
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field or equivalent experience; Master's preferred.
- Direct experience with Operations, Supply Chain, or Retail Inventory Management a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL for querying, data wrangling, and optimization.
- Expertise in developing dashboards using modern BI tools such as Tableau or Looker.
- Demonstrated ability to structure analysis despite high data ambiguity.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to translate technical findings for executive audiences.
