Summary
The Designated Selling Associate is a sales focused role that builds lasting customer relationships while driving in-store and digital sales for assigned brands. The role emphasizes product knowledge, personalized service, merchandising, appointment based selling and collaboration with peers to meet sales goals and support store operations.
Responsibilities
- Set and achieve sales goals for in-store and digital channels using selling tools including text and social media
- Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers through personalized service and follow up
- Provide confident styling guidance on fit value and wardrobe building
- Conduct appointment based selling during events and non event periods
- Lead and participate in product knowledge meetings and trainings
- Merchandise department including stocking re merchandising displays and markdowns
- Open new Nordstrom Rewards accounts to grow sales
- Provide product feedback to the department manager to improve assortment
- Assist other departments as business needs require
Requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to cultivate customer relationships
- Ability to excel in a competitive team environment and prioritize multiple tasks
- Flexible availability to work a variable schedule based on business needs
- Comfort with a range of price points and ability to articulate product value
- Ability to read sales reporting in relation to goals
- Willingness to attend trainings and develop brand and product knowledge
- Physical ability to move continuously for 6-8 hours including bending reaching and lifting
- Regularly lift items up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds
