Summary
The Designated Selling Associate is a retail salesperson focused on driving volume and representing luxury sunglasses brands through one-on-one customer interactions, product education, merchandising, and appointment based selling. This role cultivates customer relationships, supports digital and in-store sales goals, and participates in trainings to build brand expertise.
Responsibilities
- Set and achieve sales goals for in-store and digital selling using selling tools including text and social media
- Build and maintain lasting relationships with customers and grow Nordstrom Rewards accounts
- Provide personalized styling advice on fit price and wardrobe integration
- Conduct appointment based selling during events and non event timeframes
- Lead product knowledge meetings and educate peers on brand trends and product knowledge
- Maintain department presentation through stocking re merchandising display and price markdowns
- Provide product feedback to the district manager to influence assortment
- Flexibly perform duties in other departments when needed
Requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with customers
- Ability to excel in a competitive team environment and prioritize multiple tasks
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on business needs
- Ability to read and act on sales reporting in relation to goals
- Knowledge of fashion trends and ability to educate customers on brands and styling
- Confidence selling across high and low price points and articulating value
- Strong organization for strategic follow up and wardrobe planning
