Designated Selling Associate - La Jolla University Town Center

Summary

The Designated Selling Associate represents Knot Standard within the Nordstrom store, delivering personalized, one-on-one client service to drive brand sales. This role builds and maintains customer relationships, meets sales goals through in-store and digital selling, and supports appointment-based selling and outreach. Associates also contribute to merchandising, inventory tasks, and product knowledge training while maintaining a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Set and achieve sales goals for in-store and digital selling using selling tools, reservations, and social outreach
• Build and maintain lasting relationships with customers through appointment-based and event selling
• Educate customers and peers on brand trends, product knowledge, and styling
• Maintain the department customer-ready through stocking, re-merchandising, displays, markdowns, transfers, and cleaning
• Open new Nordstrom Rewards accounts and provide product feedback to the district manager

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to cultivate customer relationships
• Ability to excel in a competitive team environment and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting
• Flexible availability to work a variable schedule based on business needs
• Ability to read sales reporting relative to goals and confidently sell across high and low price points
• Physical ability for continuous movement, frequent bending and reaching, and occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
