Summary
The Designated Selling Associate provides one-on-one customer service and drives sales for the brand through product knowledge, merchandising, and appointment based selling. This role builds customer relationships, supports digital and in-store selling, and contributes to team product education and department presentation. The schedule varies based on business needs and requires physical stamina for extended periods of movement.
Responsibilities
- Set and achieve sales goals for in-store and digital selling using selling tools and reservations
- Build and maintain lasting relationships with customers
- Provide styling advice and product guidance on fit and wardrobe value
- Conduct appointment based selling during event and non-event timeframes
- Share product knowledge and lead DSA-run trainings with peers
- Perform merchandising tasks including stocking, re-merchandising, displays, markdowns and transfers
- Open new customer rewards accounts to grow sales
- Provide product feedback to the department manager to inform assortment
- Remain flexible to assist in other departments as needed
Requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to cultivate customer relationships
- Ability to work in a competitive team environment and prioritize multiple tasks
- Flexible availability to work varied schedules based on business needs
- Knowledge of reading sales reporting in relation to goals
- Strong product and fashion knowledge and ability to educate customers
- Confidence selling across high and low price points
- Organizational skills to strategically follow up with customers
- Physical ability to move continuously for 6-8 hours and perform lifting up to 25 pounds
