Responsible for one-on-one customer selling for a womens ready to wear brand, driving sales through product knowledge, appointments and digital selling, and maintaining department presentation. The role focuses on building customer relationships, meeting sales goals, and educating peers on brand trends and merchandise. Responsibilities
- Set and achieve sales goals for in-store and digital channels using selling tools including text and social media
- Build and maintain lasting relationships with new and existing customers
- Provide personalized styling advice about fit value and wardrobe completion
- Conduct appointment-based selling during events and non-event periods
- Lead and participate in product knowledge meetings and trainings
- Provide product feedback to the department manager to inform assortment decisions
- Support department readiness through stocking, remerchandising, displays, price markdowns and transfers
- Open new Nordstrom Rewards accounts to grow customer base
Requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish customer rapport
- Ability to excel in a competitive team environment and prioritize tasks in a fast paced setting
- Flexible availability to work varied schedules based on business needs
- Capability to read sales reporting and align activities to goals
- Strong product and brand knowledge with ability to educate customers and peers
- Confidence selling across high and low price points and articulating product value
- Physical ability to stand and move for 6-8 hours, bend, reach and lift up to 25 pounds
