Summary
The Designer Dedicated Salesperson supports a luxury brand within the store by delivering exceptional one-on-one customer service, driving sales through appointments and digital tools, and sharing product knowledge with customers and peers. This role focuses on building lasting customer relationships, meeting sales goals, and maintaining merchandise presentation while working a flexible schedule based on business needs.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers through appointment-based and event selling
- Provide styling advice, fit guidance, and product value recommendations to customers
- Conduct and participate in product knowledge meetings and trainings to increase brand expertise
- Collaborate with team members and surrounding departments to support merchandising and customer service
- Assist with stocking, re-merchandising, displays, price markdowns, transfers and store upkeep
- Provide product feedback to the district manager to inform assortment decisions
- Grow Nordstrom Rewards accounts to support repeat business
- Be flexible to work across departments as business needs require
Requirements
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to cultivate customer relationships
- Ability to work in a competitive team environment and prioritize multiple tasks
- Flexible availability to meet varying schedule needs of the business
- Ability to read and act upon sales reporting in relation to goals
- Strong product and fashion knowledge with the ability to educate customers and peers
- Confidence selling across a range of price points and demonstrating item value
- Organizational skills to follow up strategically with customers about wardrobe needs
- Ability to stand and move continuously for long shifts and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 25 pounds
