Summary
The Director of Total Rewards will design and lead compensation, payroll, benefits and HR analytics strategies for the Americas, ensuring programs align with luxury brand values and business goals while delivering an exceptional employee experience. This role oversees payroll operations across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, manages HRIS and ADP systems, and provides strategic leadership on total rewards design and governance. The director will lead a Total Rewards team and partner with executive leadership, Finance, IT, and HR partners to drive competitive, compliant, and data driven programs.
Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end payroll operations across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico with compliance and accuracy.
- Develop and execute a holistic Total Rewards strategy including compensation, benefits, recognition, and wellbeing programs.
- Design and govern base pay structures, variable incentive programs, and commission plans for retail and corporate teams.
- Lead annual compensation planning including merit reviews, bonuses, and long term incentives.
- Manage and optimize HRIS and ADP systems, including configuration, upgrades, and data security.
- Partner with Finance for payroll reconciliation, audits, and tax filings.
- Evaluate vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage benefits vendor performance.
- Build HR analytics frameworks and deliver executive dashboards and insights to inform decisions.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high performing Total Rewards, Payroll, and HRIS team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree or HR certification preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR leadership experience with at least 5 years in a senior Total Rewards or Compensation and Benefits role.
- Proven experience in retail, luxury, or consumer facing industries managing corporate and field populations.
- Advanced proficiency with Excel and HR technology platforms and HRIS systems including ADP.
- Strong financial acumen, analytical skills, and experience with compensation analytics and benchmarking.
- Deep knowledge of labor and employment laws, compensation principles, benefits administration, and multi jurisdictional compliance.
- Proven change leadership skills with ability to implement innovative Total Rewards solutions.
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and people leadership capabilities.
