Summary
Develop and support inventory management applications, APIs, and systems that enable Nordstrom's multi-market and multichannel business. Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain scalable software solutions while supporting production systems and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop clean, reliable, scalable software solutions and system interfaces.
- Contribute to code reviews, continuous integration and delivery, cloud migration, and test-driven development.
- Plan and implement application releases and deployments to production.
- Support applications, investigate and resolve defects, and participate in rotating 24x7 support shifts.
- Collaborate with business, infrastructure, security, and technology teams to deliver enhancements and fixes.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of professional experience in the practice area and a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, data science, or a related field.
- Experience with Java and Spring Boot, AWS, databases, RESTful services, and microservices.
- Familiarity with Docker or Kubernetes, CI/CD, testing tools, messaging middleware, and agile development practices.
- Knowledge of software design patterns, application testing and maintenance, and production monitoring.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, curiosity about AI-assisted development, and interest in automation and emerging technologies.
