Summary
The Senior Engineer 2 will build and modernize full-stack applications and services that support merchandise ordering and purchase order management. This role partners with engineering and business teams to develop scalable integrations, streamline workflows, and apply AI-enabled development and automation.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain front-end applications, backend services, and integrations for purchase order management.
- Collaborate with engineering teams, business stakeholders, and product and program managers to guide technical decisions and priorities.
- Improve engineering practices, including CI/CD, cloud migration, test-driven development, and AI-enabled software development.
- Design and ship AI agents, including evaluation, observability, and human-in-the-loop safeguards.
- Own cross-team systems and designs, support production applications, and help plan technical strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in an engineering discipline, preferably computer science, or equivalent experience.
- At least 8 years of professional software development experience, ideally across the full stack.
- Experience with modern front-end frameworks, backend technologies, relational and NoSQL databases, CI/CD, containers, and cloud services.
- Practical experience using AI-assisted software development tools and building enterprise-level web applications.
- Knowledge of system design, architecture, scaling, performance testing, and Agile collaboration.
