Summary
The Facilities Technician 2 executes preventative maintenance and performs troubleshooting and repairs on building systems and material handling equipment. This role supports operations by designing maintenance solutions, leading preventative maintenance procedures, and assisting with training and project execution. The technician will operate lifts and forklifts and create and close work orders with detailed maintenance data.
Responsibilities
- Execute preventative maintenance programs for building and material handling systems
- Troubleshoot and repair conveyors and material handling equipment including motors and reducers
- Diagnose electrical and electronic control systems using test equipment
- Maintain and troubleshoot relay logic ladder diagrams and control components
- Safely operate forklifts scissor lifts boom lifts and hand tools
- Lead preventative maintenance procedures and assist in training service technicians
- Create and close work orders with labor hours equipment maintenance and parts used
- Collaborate across departments to support facility operations
- Lift up to 49lbs and stand walk during shifts up to 12 hours
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience with conveyors electrical systems and building maintenance
- Advanced knowledge of operation and repair of material handling equipment
- Proficiency with power pneumatic and hydraulic tools
- Basic knowledge of control systems and PLCs preferred
- Robotics knowledge preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience using a work order system
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and aerial lifts
