Summary
Lead the outlet boutique to achieve sales, margin, and operational goals by managing store performance, merchandising, inventory control, and customer relationships. The General Manager develops and executes strategic plans, coaches and motivates the sales team, and ensures compliance with company policies and visual standards. This role focuses on driving profitability while maintaining exceptional customer service and store presentation.
Responsibilities
- Own sales and performance of the boutique and each sales associate.
- Partner with senior management to maximize sales and margin goals and implement action plans.
- Create business strategies, set targets, and implement sales incentives to boost performance.
- Maintain store presentation and visual merchandising standards per company directives.
- Analyze and manage sell-through and communicate product availability and market trends with division heads.
- Enforce security measures and maintain inventory accuracy to control shrinkage.
- Develop and lead a high performance team through training, coaching, and motivation.
- Manage operational costs and budgetary expenses efficiently while ensuring policy compliance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion or Business preferred.
- Minimum of five years of retail management experience; luxury experience preferred.
- Full understanding of specialty retail including business development, visual merchandising, and store operations.
- Computer skills including retail POS systems, Word, Excel, and email.
- Strong leadership, critical thinking, problem solving, and verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment, multitask, and maintain client and community relationships.
- Outgoing, entrepreneurial, sales focused personality with ownership of store business at all levels.
