Summary

The Interim Beauty Counter Manager oversees sales and service at an assigned beauty counter, delivering personalized makeup and skincare experiences while coaching and leading the counter team. This role balances selling and teaching, utilizes in-store and digital tools to meet sales goals, and partners with brand vendors to drive promotions and events. The manager maintains visual and operational standards to ensure a welcoming, customer-ready environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform makeup applications and skincare analyses, recommending products to meet customer beauty goals
• Set and achieve personal and counter sales goals using in-store and digital selling tools, including text and social media
• Coach and collaborate with team members to create an inclusive customer experience
• Manage scheduling and execution of vendor events, promotions, and vendor relationships
• Handle sales transactions, refunds, exchanges, and assist customers with Nordstrom Rewards account enrollment
• Maintain counter organization, cleanliness, and presentation standards

• Ability to connect with customers, handle concerns proactively, and build customer loyalty
• Strong multitasking, organization, follow-through, and interest in using networking and technology for sales
• Flexible availability including evenings and weekends and a results-oriented, commission-driven mindset
• Physical ability to be on feet for extended periods, perform frequent bending and reaching, and lift up to 25 pounds
