Summary
The Jewelry Washer performs cleaning, inspection, and preparation of finished merchandise using industrial wash line, ultrasonic, steam, and specialty cleaning equipment. This role supports product services and distribution by ensuring items are processed efficiently and meet uncompromising quality standards before advancing to servicing or fulfillment. The position requires collaboration with polishing, engraving, repair, and quality teams to maintain workflow and production targets.
Responsibilities
- Clean and process merchandise using wash line systems, ultrasonic units, steam equipment, and approved cleaning technologies.
- Inspect items throughout the cleaning process to identify defects, residue, damage, or servicing concerns and escalate as needed.
- Maintain departmental productivity and accurately process assigned workload to support production turnaround goals.
- Track production activity and complete required documentation to support operational reporting and workflow visibility.
- Operate, monitor, and perform routine maintenance on cleaning equipment and report issues to facilities or leadership.
- Support cross-functional teams by providing logistical and operational assistance to ensure efficient merchandise flow.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workstation and follow all safety and operational procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 to 2 years of experience in a technical, manufacturing, production, or servicing environment.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to follow detailed procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds routinely and occasionally up to 50 pounds; willingness to work overtime, evenings, weekends, and peak periods.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate within a team.
- Preferred: experience operating industrial wash line, ultrasonic, or steam cleaning equipment and familiarity with warehouse or production management systems such as PKMS.
