Qc Inspector

Summary

The Quality Control Inspector inspects David Yurman products to ensure compliance with established quality standards. The role performs testing and inspection of components and finished goods, documents defects, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to resolve product and process issues. This in-office position works closely with Product Development, Manufacturing, Repairs, Returns, and Design to support product quality from initial production through finished goods audits.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial production approval process including evaluation of merchandise, documentation, analysis, and communication of results
• Perform XRF analysis on incoming components and finished goods
• Perform diamond scans on first production goods and conduct regular finished goods audits
• Document defects and communicate findings to contractors and suppliers
• Research and resolve special projects related to specific product and process defects
• Participate in product development test reviews and dual source product evaluations

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years jewelry experience preferred
• Experience working as part of a team with strong attention to detail
• Strong organizational and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel spreadsheets
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Knowledge of jewelry manufacturing and inspection processes preferred; GIA certification a plus
