Qa Analyst

Summary

The Quality Assurance Analyst evaluates first-run production and audits in-process and finished David Yurman jewelry to ensure product quality and compliance with standards. This role develops inspection guidelines and SOPs, conducts component and finished-goods analysis, and works cross-functionally to resolve product and process defects.

Responsibilities

• Lead initial production approval process, evaluate merchandise, document findings, and communicate results.
• Develop and document Standard Operating Procedures and Jewelry Inspection Guidelines for QA staff.
• Perform XRF analysis on components and finished goods and scan diamonds in first production items.
• Audit in-process and finished goods at contractors and suppliers; participate in sample selection and maintain the sample library.
• Investigate and resolve product and process defects, coordinating with Repairs, Returns, Product Engineering, Product Development, Design, Manufacturing, and Inventory.

Requirements

• Minimum 4+ years of jewelry experience with knowledge of jewelry manufacturing and inspection processes.
• Experience performing XRF analysis and diamond scanning preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and written communication; ability to manage multiple projects.
• GIA or similar gemology certification preferred; Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Ability to work in-office Monday through Friday with occasional Saturdays and to audit contractor/supplier locations as needed.
