Summary

The Licensed Optician delivers exceptional luxury retail service by assisting customers with frame and lens selection, ensuring accurate measurements and fittings, and supporting store operations and quality controls. The role builds and maintains a strong client following while supporting the Store Manager and mentoring team members.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional sales and client service to meet and exceed targets
• Guide customers in selecting frames and lenses suited to lifestyle, prescription and budget
• Take and record measurements and perform adjustments and fittings with flawless accuracy
• Ensure finished eyewear meets luxury retail quality standards
• Maintain product knowledge and stay current on fashion trends
• Maintain presentation standards on the sales floor and back office
• Manage inventory controls and support store policies and procedures
• Train and mentor managers and associates
• Support set-up and execution of store events

Requirements

• High school diploma
• State licensure or certification as an optician
• 2+ years sales experience in the luxury service industry
• Knowledge of optical theory and practices
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to build and maintain a client following
• Polished appearance and professional demeanor
• Computer skills and attention to detail
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
