Summary

The Sales Department Manager leads the Designer and Contemporary Handbags team at the NYC flagship. This role coaches, develops, and motivates employees to deliver outstanding customer service while achieving individual, department, and store goals.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, develop, and motivate team members.
• Lead by example, exceed goals, and promote exceptional customer service.
• Develop business plans that align team efforts with department, store, and individual goals.
• Build customer relationships and loyalty through active selling on the sales floor.
• Partner with the merchant team to ensure the department has merchandise customers will love.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of successful retail management experience.
• Experience leading and motivating teams.
• Competitive drive and entrepreneurial confidence to succeed in a commission-based environment.
• Passion for teaching and coaching employees to achieve goals and deliver outstanding customer service.
• Demonstrated ability to develop, plan, and execute business strategies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
