Summary
The Manager of Workforce Strategy and Planning develops and executes staffing analytics and initiatives aligned with company priorities. The role uses business and staffing data to improve sales, profit, productivity, and expense performance.
Responsibilities
- Lead analysis of staffing initiatives and recommend strategies to improve business results.
- Publish monthly staffing reports, including the Bloomingdale's Area Report, and identify staffing opportunities and challenges.
- Develop reporting tools and participate in annual and seasonal store staffing plans.
- Forecast and budget weekly hours, maintain the Store Hours platform, and optimize staffing coverage and payroll.
- Prepare ad hoc reports and respond to business trends to drive sales and manage expenses.
Requirements
- Four-year college degree and at least three years of work experience; retail experience preferred.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, problem-solving, and recommendation-development skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
- Strong communication, presentation, organization, and follow-up skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with senior management and store teams, and to adapt to changing priorities.
