Summary
The Manager, Data Product Management & Governance leads data product and governance initiatives to advance a data-driven transformation. This hands-on role translates business needs into scalable analytics solutions, manages data governance standards, and drives adoption across commercial, marketing, finance, and operations teams. The position is hybrid based in New York with responsibility for roadmap prioritization, product delivery, and stakeholder enablement.
Responsibilities
- Lead execution of data governance and quality initiatives, including stewardship, business rules, glossary, catalog, and documentation practices.
- Manage defined components of enterprise data product lifecycle: requirements, roadmaps, prioritization, development coordination, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Partner with Marketing, Commercial, Finance, IT, and engineering to gather requirements, develop prototypes, and translate needs into user stories and deliverables.
- Define and monitor product adoption, success metrics, and business impact; communicate results to stakeholders and Steering Committee.
- Drive data and AI literacy and adoption through training, workshops, communications, and communities of practice.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (MBA or equivalent experience preferred).
- 5+ years of data experience, preferably in packaged goods/CPG or alcohol/beverage environments, with experience in data product management, analytics, or governance.
- Experience with cloud and analytics technologies such as AWS/Azure/GCP, Databricks/BigQuery, Tableau, Alteryx, Dataiku, and AI productivity tools.
- Familiarity with CPG/alcohol data sources (VIP, Nielsen, IRI/Circana, Numerator) preferred.
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders, communicate complex data insights clearly, and drive measurable business outcomes; authorized to work in the United States.
