Manager, Sales - Fine Jewelry/Handbags

Summary

Lead the sales floor for fine jewelry and handbags in a department store environment, driving sales performance and delivering exceptional customer service. Oversee daily operations, merchandising, and inventory to meet business objectives. Coach and develop associates to enhance product knowledge, sales skills, and customer engagement.

Responsibilities

• Manage and schedule sales associates to ensure adequate floor coverage and high levels of service.
• Drive sales, conversion, and average transaction values through coaching and performance management.
• Maintain merchandising standards, product presentation, and inventory control for the jewelry and handbag areas.
• Train staff on product knowledge, selling techniques, and clienteling best practices.
• Address customer escalations and ensure a premium customer experience.
• Collaborate with corporate partners on promotions, visual directives, and inventory replenishment.

Requirements

• 4+ years of retail sales or management experience, preferably with jewelry or accessories.
• Proven leadership and coaching skills with the ability to develop associate performance.
• Strong product knowledge or ability to quickly learn fine jewelry and handbag assortments.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and sales coaching abilities.
• Flexible availability including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional retail or product training preferred.
