Manager, Store Merchandise

Summary

The Merchandise Manager is responsible for overseeing back of house operations and front of house visual standards to ensure timely processing and presentation of merchandise, maintain inventory accuracy, and lead a merchandising team to support store profitability and customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee processing of inbound merchandise to ensure new receipts are on the selling floor in established time frames
• Maintain inventory accuracy through oversight of inventory exception reports
• Manage outbound merchandise transfers and returns to vendors
• Direct execution of markdowns, price changes, re-ticketing, sends, repairs and sell off consolidation
• Hire, train and develop the merchandise operations team
• Ensure compliance with store audit standards and operational processes
• Lead communication and flow initiatives within the store
• Order supplies and manage ad hoc operational responsibilities as needed

Requirements

• 3-5 years supervisory experience in a retail visual or merchandising capacity
• Available to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to lift and carry boxes approximately 25 to 50 lbs and maneuver rolling equipment
• Ability to climb safety ladders approximately 6 feet
