Manufacturing/Engineering Technician

Summary

The Manufacturing/Engineering Technician supports process engineering functions at a jewelry manufacturing facility by testing, planning, and executing improvements to processes, products, equipment, and data systems. The role focuses on technology and cost reduction opportunities and provides a craft-focused perspective to continuous improvement and project implementation. The technician assists with documentation, testing, and sustaining engineered solutions.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety procedures and promptly report incidents and safety issues
• Perform root cause analysis by collecting and analyzing data, measuring and testing as required
• Update drawings and documentation, write reports, and recommend and implement corrective actions as approved by engineers
• Support and assist implementation of process improvement projects to drive efficiency, technology adoption, and cost reduction
• Develop and update flow charts, standard operating procedures, and work instructions with emphasis on safe equipment operation; work with the Tulip application

Requirements

• Technical associate’s degree or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years knowledge of modern jewelry manufacturing techniques
• Demonstrated experience in process improvement and data analysis
• Ability to create mechanical drawings in CAD, basic SolidWorks knowledge preferred
• Knowledge of GD&T and ability to measure using calipers, micrometers, and vision systems
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; experience with JD Edwards and data analysis software is a plus
• Greenbelt certification and bilingual English/Spanish are preferred
