Operations Associate

Summary

The Operations Associate maintains store inventory and stock areas to company standards, minimizing loss and safeguarding assets through proper inventory control. This role manages shipping and receiving functions, processes inbound freight, returns, transfers, and damages, and supports store housekeeping and merchandising tasks. The associate communicates with central distribution, participates in inventory and cycle counts, and assists with price changes and customer packaging as needed.

Responsibilities

• Process shipping and receiving accurately, including inbound freight, returns-to-vendor, chargebacks, transfers, and damages.
• Maintain an orderly stock and receiving area; ensure merchandise is properly ticketed, sensored, and security tagged.
• Support compliance of receiving practices with policies for safekeeping of funds, property, security, and record-keeping.
• Participate in inventory and cycle counts and communicate with central distribution or corporate inventory control.
• Assist with floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance, price changes, housekeeping, and customer packaging as needed.
• Help resolve issues in the receiving area and perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Ability to handle receiving operations effectively and process merchandise through inventory systems.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, and follow-through skills.
• Ability to read, count, write, and accurately complete documentation.
• Proficiency operating inventory-control equipment, sensor-tag remover, and related office equipment.
• Ability to adjust priorities and manage time in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
