Summary
Temporary Operations Associate in the Diamond Division responsible for supplying serialized and melee diamonds to internal and external customers and maintaining inventory control through cycle counts and transaction execution.
Responsibilities
- Select stones from inventory to fulfill manufacturing work orders, virtual vendor bulk picks, and internal requests.
- Consolidate or kit stones and use instruments and scales to verify accuracy.
- Perform JDE transactions to supply diamonds following CODC guidelines and report issues to management.
- Prepare and package stones according to established procedures.
- Submit inventory adjustment requests to fulfill demand requirements.
- Perform cycle counts and report discrepancies immediately to management.
- Utilize technology equipment to complete assignments and assist with division projects.
- Adapt to changing responsibilities within the department and follow workplace policies and safety guidelines.
Requirements
- Undergraduate college degree.
- Experience in operations or supply chain.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Ability to work as part of a team or independently and strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Preferred experience with J D Edwards.
- Preferred knowledge of the diamond industry and experience handling melee stones including sorting weighing and picking.
