Summary
The Operations Lead will support the Supervisor in overseeing and optimizing daily operations at a luxury retail regional distribution center on the evening shift, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of high-value goods while maintaining quality, security and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Assist the supervisor with daily tasks and shift hand offs.
- Train, mentor and manage a team ensuring policy adherence.
- Assign daily work, monitor progress and adjust to meet operational demands.
- Oversee receiving, storage, picking, packing and shipping processes.
- Monitor KPIs, resolve bottlenecks and maintain quality and security standards.
- Serve as point of contact for brands and communicate with internal teams.
- Lead SOP implementation and identify process improvements using Lean and 5S.
- Participate in SAP EWM system checks and business projects.
- Maintain safety and housekeeping standards on shift.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years of experience in operations or a similar environment.
- Knowledge of distribution center operations and logistics processes.
- Experience with warehouse management systems; SAP a strong plus.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills including Excel.
- Proven team leadership and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Continuous improvement mindset and problem solving ability.
- Flexibility to work different departments, functions and shifts.
