Summary
The Operations Lead will support the Supervisor in overseeing daily operations at a luxury retail regional distribution center, ensuring efficient and accurate processing of high value goods while maintaining quality, security and cost standards. The role includes team leadership, SOP implementation, continuous improvement, and collaboration with internal teams and external brand stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Assist the supervisor with daily tasks and shift hand offs.
- Train mentor and manage a team of employees and monitor performance.
- Assign daily work monitor progress and adjust to meet operational demands.
- Oversee receiving storage picking packing and shipping processes for luxury products.
- Monitor KPIs resolve bottlenecks and maintain quality and security standards.
- Serve as point of contact for brands and communicate with internal teams.
- Lead SOP implementation conduct 5S audits and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Participate in SAP EWM system checks and business development projects.
- Support cross functional training and problem solving and escalate complex issues.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years of experience in operations or similar environment.
- Knowledge of distribution center operations including receiving storage picking packing and shipping.
- Experience with Warehouse Management systems SAP experience a plus.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills including Excel Word and PowerPoint.
- Proven experience leading and managing teams.
- Strong communication interpersonal and problem solving skills Spanish a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment with attention to detail.
- Flexible to work different departments functions and shifts.
