Outside Upholstery Associate

Summary

Perform outside upholstery work on furniture frames by applying padding, fabric, or leather to meet product specifications and brand quality standards. Move frames to workstations, use hand tools and equipment, and correct defects prior to passing pieces to the next area. Maintain attendance, work independently, and follow safety and quality procedures in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Transport frames to workstations and position on work tables, lifts, or bucks
• Apply padding or other materials using staple gun, glue, or similar methods
• Cover frames with fabric or leather to meet style and quality specifications
• Use hand tools such as staple guns, mallets, and clinchers safely and effectively
• Inspect work and correct mistakes before moving pieces to the next area
• Apply webbing, springs, trim or perform inspection and labeling tasks as required
• Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in a similar upholstery or related field
• Strong attention to detail to uphold brand integrity
• Ability to work independently and follow directions
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to regularly lift and move up to 100 pounds and perform physical tasks
• Comfort working around moving mechanical parts and airborne particles
