Summary
Manage development of ready-to-wear and accessories with emphasis on knitwear and cut and sew, overseeing stages from design concept through production handoff while maintaining brand standards and seasonal tracking.
Responsibilities
- Strategically oversee all stages of development from design concept through production handoff
- Create and maintain seasonal work in progress reports
- Monitor seasonal SKU counts and alignment with merchandising strategies
- Manage and enforce timelines and calendars to meet critical milestones
- Oversee issuance of vendor and raw material purchase orders
- Launch monitor and organize knit-downs prototypes and size make samples with factories
- Manage distribution and tracking of samples and raw materials including shipping issues
- Create and manage bills of materials in PLM system
- Coordinate and contribute to fittings capturing fit notes and resolving fit challenges
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years experience in ready-to-wear development with strong process knowledge
- Previous knitwear experience required
- Technical understanding of garment construction
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast paced setting
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and lifecycle systems
- Experience supporting costing and reviewing factory invoices
