Program Manager 1

Summary

Program Manager 1 in the Nordstrom Product Group partners with executive sponsors and cross functional teams to drive project execution from discovery through closure. This role focuses on delivering on time and on budget results, improving processes, and supporting change management within Merchandising and Product Development operations. The position is located at Nordstrom's downtown Seattle headquarters and follows a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate project kickoffs and gather business requirements.
• Build and manage project plans, timelines, and documentation.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency.
• Create and deliver presentations with data visualization and storytelling.
• Manage program milestones, deliverables, and stakeholder communications.
• Develop contingency plans to mitigate risks and maintain service levels.
• Support change management and develop training documentation and job aids.
• Navigate ambiguity and resolve issues independently by engaging appropriate stakeholders.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business or technical related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of five years of project management experience.
• Background in Merchandising or Product Development preferred.
• Working knowledge of project lifecycle fundamentals and methodologies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong PowerPoint and presentation skills.
• Experience with reporting and data fluency; Excel or Tableau preferred.
• Experience with FlexPLM and NuORDER is preferred.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and build strong relationships.
