SummaryThe Project Manager Store Design oversees the Store Planning and Construction process for new stores, renovations, and relocations, managing projects from initial feasibility to completion. This role is based in the New York office and reports to the Head of Interior Design and Construction.
Responsibilities- Prepare initial project brief with requirements, schedule, and budget.
- Review site conditions and lease provisions for construction activities.
- Liaise with Landlords for design guidelines and construction requirements.
- Coordinate design phase with Store Design Team and regional cross-functional Teams.
- Manage consultants for preparation of construction drawings and documents.
- Drive critical milestones and deliverables for project approvals and funding.
- Secure permits and manage the bid process.
- Oversee construction process to ensure adherence to standards, timeline, and budget.
- Value engineer with Store Design to respect budget.
- Review construction documents, submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
- Attend and coordinate weekly construction meetings with stakeholders.
- Coordinate shipments of owner-supplied goods.
- Collect as-built and close-out documents.
- Manage store handover and punch list at completion.
- Travel for site visits and project meetings as required.
- Visit completed projects for post-opening audits and improvements.
- Support Store Design and Procurement with research and development programs.
- Identify regional/local resources for cost and schedule efficiencies.
- Liaise with LVMH Sustainability groups on Green programs and LEED certifications.
Requirements- Bachelor Degree in Architecture or Construction project management.
- 7+ years of experience in high-end retail projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, and Office.
- LEED accreditation preferred.
- Knowledge of Italian is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proactive attitude and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Strong cultural background and interest in luxury and fashion industry.
