Summary

The Retail Salesperson delivers styling expertise and exceptional customer service to cultivate and grow relationships both in-store and digitally. The role is focused on meeting sales goals through direct selling and effective use of tools such as text and social media while maintaining department presentation and readiness. This position supports customers across the store and assists with order fulfillment and merchandising tasks.

Responsibilities

• Set and achieve sales goals through in-store and digital selling, using text and social media as appropriate
• Build and maintain lasting customer relationships and assist customers with styling and fit guidance
• Open and grow Nordstrom Rewards accounts and foster customer followings
• Fill orders, stock merchandise, re-merchandise, perform price markdowns, and keep the department customer-ready
• Assist in other departments as business needs require and perform light cleaning to maintain standards

Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable using networking and technology to drive sales
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, work effectively in a team, and adapt to a flexible schedule
• Physical ability to be active 6-8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, reaching, and lifting up to 25 pounds
