Retail Stock Manager

Summary

The Stock Manager is responsible for receiving, unpacking, preparing and replenishing merchandise for the selling floor and maintaining an organized, clean and efficient stockroom. This role supports inventory control, merchandise presentation and operational tasks in partnership with the Store Manager to meet store standards and shrink goals. The Stock Manager also executes transfers, returns and paperwork to ensure accurate inventory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage in-store receiving process and complete required paperwork accurately and timely.
• Process transfers, returns, damages and customer charge sends per store policy.
• Reprice, tag, steam, fold and hang merchandise; prepare floor-set merchandise with Store Manager.
• Replenish merchandise from stockroom to sales floor daily and audit stockroom organization and sizing standards.
• Prepare store for physical inventories and support shrink-minimization efforts.
• Maintain stockroom cleanliness, remove trash/boxes, fill cash wrap supplies and perform daily lighting checks.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
• Ability to perform some heavy lifting and physical tasks.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in inventory reporting.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook; inventory system experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills, punctuality, flexibility and ability to work collaboratively with store team.
