Summary
The Returns Desk Associate processes and manages store returns, supports specialized operations work streams, and assists daily store functions under the leadership of the Assistant General Manager Operations. This role focuses on accurate return processing, maintaining organized work areas, and resolving customer issues while collaborating with internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Process returns, adjustments, and reconcile return reports.
- Open and close the digital return register and attach return printouts to items.
- Maintain a neat, organized, and secure returns area and separate online returns.
- Resolve customer issues both internal and external.
- Support related specialized operations such as cash reconciliation and gift card events.
- Communicate and coordinate with Merchandise Operations, Asset Protection, and management.
- Follow protocols for product integrity and security standards.
- Perform ad hoc responsibilities and follow up on necessary reporting and escalations.
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Knowledge of POS systems and strong computer skills including Google and MS Office.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds and handle racks and carts of merchandise.
- Ability to multi task in a fast paced team environment with minimal supervision.
- Attention to detail and organized personal workspace.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and meet dependability standards.
- Ability to influence team to follow store policies and procedures.
