Summary
The Sales Manager leads the sales experience and sales team in a Saks Fifth Avenue store, driving client development, sales growth, and operational excellence. This role focuses on coaching and developing direct reports, executing clienteling strategies, and collaborating across functions to deliver exceptional customer experiences and meet store objectives.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, onboard, and develop sales talent to build a high performing team
- Coach and mentor direct reports on selling behaviors, clienteling, and performance
- Maintain visibility on the selling floor to model service and drive results
- Plan and execute client development initiatives and in-store events
- Use data and clienteling tools to identify opportunities and increase repeat business
- Manage scheduling and daily priorities in alignment with business needs
- Ensure compliance with department and stockroom controls and procedures
- Analyze trends and adjust strategies to achieve sales goals
- Foster a collaborative environment and champion change initiatives
Requirements
- Relevant supervisory experience managing a team of direct reports
- Proven track record of achieving sales and operational results
- Proficiency with clienteling tools, social selling, and Google Workspace
- Strong communication, coaching, and leadership skills
- Attention to detail and ability to analyze data to inform decisions
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand bend climb stairs and lift up to 10 pounds
- Luxury retail experience and a four year degree preferred
