Summary
The Sales Manager owns the sales experience within the store, leading a team to drive sales growth, deliver exceptional client service, and develop high performing associates. This role focuses on coaching, onboarding, performance management, and executing client development strategies to increase client acquisition and retention. The manager partners with cross functional teams to plan events, enhance clienteling efforts, and ensure operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, onboard, and develop store selling team members to build talent bench
- Coach and mentor direct reports with clear goals and performance feedback
- Lead client development initiatives including appointments events and outreach
- Model exceptional customer service and drive memorable client experiences
- Use clienteling tools and data to identify opportunities and increase wallet share
- Manage scheduling prioritization and enforce policies and procedures
- Support audit compliance and maintain stockroom controls as applicable
- Analyze trends and business drivers to inform plans and strategies
- Champion change initiatives and share best practices with the team
Requirements
- Relevant supervisory experience managing a team of direct reports
- Proven track record of achieving sales and operational results in retail
- Proficiency with clienteling tools social selling and Google Workspace
- Strong communication coaching and leadership skills
- Attention to detail and ability to solve problems using data
- Willingness to work flexible schedule including evenings weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand bend climb stairs and lift up to 10 pounds
- Luxury retail or fashion experience and a four year degree preferred
