Responsibilities
- Perform makeup applications and skincare analyses and recommend products
- Engage customers to understand needs and build customer followings in-store and digitally
- Set and achieve sales goals and use selling tools including text and social media
- Book appointments and drive sales for in-store beauty events and services
- Manage sales transactions including refunds and exchanges
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of the department
- Keep current with beauty trends and product knowledge through trainings
- Assist customers with Nordstrom Rewards account enrollment to build loyalty
Requirements
- Passion for beauty trends, makeup application, and skincare
- Excellent customer connection and ability to handle customer concerns
- Empathy and respect when providing makeup and skincare services
- Strong multitasking, organizational, and follow through skills
- Drive to achieve sales goals and interest in networking and technology
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- Capable of continuous movement for 6-8 hours and frequent bending and reaching
- Ability to regularly lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds
