Seasonal retail Cashier and Sales Floor Support who provides excellent customer service at the point of sale, assists customers with transactions and returns, and helps maintain a tidy and well stocked sales floor. The role supports order fulfillment and pick up and requires flexibility to work varied schedules during peak season.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers in person and by phone with sales, returns and other transactions at checkout
- Deliver friendly customer service and listen to customer needs to suggest products
- Keep the cash wrap area and sales floor organized, lightly cleaned and restocked
- Support other store areas including order fulfillment and order pick up
- Build customer relationships by sharing information on events, gift cards and rewards
- Stay informed on current fashion trends and product knowledge to assist customers
- Prioritize multiple tasks in a fast paced retail environment
- Perform physical tasks including bending, reaching and lifting merchandise
Requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to organize tasks and follow through accurately
- Problem solving skills and customer service orientation
- Proficiency with computers and willingness to learn new applications
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs
- Physical ability to move continuously for 6 to 8 hours and lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Comfort handling bulky and awkwardly shaped items and performing frequent bending and reaching
