Summary
Senior Group Director responsible for defining and executing U.S. merchandising strategy for Leather Goods, leading the U.S. leather goods merchandising team, and partnering with global and cross functional stakeholders to drive assortment, pricing, and commercial performance across U.S. boutiques.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute U.S. merchandising strategy for leather goods aligned with global vision and U.S. market needs.
- Support Head of Merchandising in strategic planning, category vision, and business performance.
- Lead seasonal assortment planning and adjust buy strategies to optimize sales and inventory efficiency.
- Partner with global merchandising to influence collection architecture and lifecycle management.
- Collaborate with Retail, Visual Merchandising, Education, Supply Chain, and Merch Planning to ensure executional excellence.
- Track key business metrics and lead action plans to improve commercial results.
- Set U.S. pricing strategy for leather goods and contribute to category pricing approaches.
- Serve as U.S. thought leader on fashion trends and client behavior to inform assortment strategy.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the U.S. leather goods merchandising team.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in luxury merchandising with strong leather goods expertise.
- Proven ability to adapt global strategies to the U.S. market and drive commercial performance.
- Strong analytical and financial acumen with P&L management experience.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills and experience managing high performing teams.
- Deep understanding of U.S. luxury clients, trends, and competitive landscape.
- Bachelor's Degree required; MBA a plus.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross functionally and influence stakeholders.
