Summary
Lead U.S. merchandising strategy for Leather Goods, providing strategic direction and execution for seasonal assortments and commercial performance. Serve as a key partner to the Head of Merchandising and global counterparts while managing and developing the U.S. leather goods merchandising team. Drive market insights, pricing input, and cross functional collaboration to optimize assortment and client experience across U.S. boutiques.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute U.S. merchandising strategy for leather goods aligned with global vision.
- Lead seasonal assortment planning and lifecycle management for U.S. boutiques.
- Partner with global teams to influence collection architecture and tailor assortments.
- Monitor performance and adjust buy strategies to maximize sales and inventory efficiency.
- Support setting U.S. pricing strategy for leather goods.
- Represent U.S. perspectives in global forums and translate market trends into strategy.
- Collaborate with Retail, Visual Merchandising, Education, Supply Chain, and Merch Planning.
- Lead a team, providing mentorship, development, and performance management.
Requirements
- 12+ years of experience in luxury merchandising with expertise in leather goods.
- Proven ability to adapt global strategies to the U.S. market and drive commercial performance.
- Strong analytical and financial acumen with P and L experience.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills and experience leading high performing teams.
- Deep understanding of U.S. luxury clients, trends, and competitive landscape.
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.
