Senior Technical Designer, Polo Women's Soft Dressing

Summary

The Senior Technical Designer oversees garment fit, construction, and approvals to ensure products meet design intent and brand standards consistently across factories. This role partners with cross-functional and global teams, maintains technical tools and data, and supports supplier calibration and digital asset development.

Responsibilities

• Prepare garments and lead fit sessions with Design, Product Management, Merchandising, and global partners.
• Communicate pattern corrections, enter fit comments and product data in PLM, and maintain accurate technical packs and grade rules.
• Update construction sketches using Adobe Illustrator and prepare samples for line reviews.
• Procure materials and create or work with 3D digital assets.
• Maintain and distribute global technical design, pre-production, and supplier approval tools.
• Collaborate with offshore teams to establish consistent global processes and meet deadlines.

Requirements

• Apparel-related experience and a degree or certification in apparel manufacturing or design, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Knowledge of 3D programs and Adobe Illustrator sketching required.
• Experience with Gerber, PLM, Browzwear, and Microsoft 365 preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, prioritization, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in the office at least two to three days per week.
