Summary

Provide attentive table service by taking and delivering food and beverage orders, informing guests of specials and menu items, and ensuring guest satisfaction through courteous and professional interactions. Work closely with kitchen and bar staff to recommend pairings and upsell items while adhering to health safety and privacy policies. This role requires bilingual communication in French and English and previous serving experience.

Responsibilities

• Inform guests of daily specials and describe ingredients as needed
• Take and record customer orders and relay them to kitchen staff
• Recall and deliver correct food items to guests
• Ensure guest satisfaction with meals in a courteous manner
• Recommend wine and beverage pairings with bartender assistance
• Suggest side dishes to complement main courses
• Upsell beverages coffees and desserts when appropriate
• Handle customer service concerns and escalate difficult issues to manager or executive chef
• Comply with health safety privacy and cyber security policies

Requirements

• High school diploma
• 2 to 3 years previous experience in a similar role
• Fully bilingual in French and English
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with kitchen and bar staff
• Familiarity with upselling techniques
• Knowledge of health safety and privacy regulations
