Provide professional shoe care services at the shine stand, deliver excellent customer service, and meet department productivity goals while maintaining organized work areas and accurate transaction records.
Responsibilities
- Perform shoe care tasks according to store guidelines and service standards
- Maintain and organize the shine stand to meet customer expectations
- Shine shoes and provide consultation on shoe care and minor repairs
- Use store technology to answer phones, process transactions, and record customer information
- Meet department and individual productivity and sales goals
- Communicate supply needs to management in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate records of shoe care transactions and record tips daily
- Flex into other shoe stock and cleaning tasks as needed
Requirements
- Previous shoeshine experience preferred, minimum 1 year
- Basic math, organization, and written communication skills
- Ability to build relationships with customers, peers, and leadership
- Willingness to learn and take ownership for personal growth and accountability
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction
- Flexible schedule to meet business needs
- Ability to perform physical activities including bending, stooping, kneeling, and frequent use of hands
- Ability to regularly lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds
