Summary
The Shoe Care Specialist performs shoe shine and basic repair services at the store shine stand, delivers exceptional customer service, maintains organized work areas and records transactions, and may assist with other shoe stock and cleaning tasks as needed.
Responsibilities
- Perform shoe care tasks following company guidelines and service standards
- Maintain and organize the shine stand to meet customer expectations
- Shine shoes and provide consultation on shoe care and minor repairs
- Use store technology to answer phones, check out customers and record customer information
- Meet department and individual productivity goals
- Communicate supply needs to management in a timely manner
- Maintain accurate records of shoe care transactions and record tips daily
- Flex into other shoe stock and cleaning tasks when needed
Requirements
- Previous shoeshine experience preferred, minimum 1-2 years
- Basic math, organization and written communication skills
- Ability to build relationships with customers peers and leadership
- Willingness to learn and a high level of ownership and initiative
- Ability to work independently with little day-to-day direction
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on business needs
- Physical ability to bend twist squat kneel and perform repetitive hand movements
