Specialist, Designated Beauty Advisor (DBA)

Summary

The Specialist, Designated Beauty Advisor develops long-term client relationships to drive both personal and assigned brand sales. The role is responsible for meeting sales targets, delivering expert product knowledge, and supporting in-store merchandising and events. This position operates on the sales floor and requires proactive client acquisition, retention, and exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Deliver extraordinary customer service on the sales floor
• Achieve personal and brand sales and service targets
• Build, develop, and retain a loyal personal client base through acquisition and outreach
• Share expert product knowledge and support the selling team
• Maintain relationships with buyer, vendor, and selling management
• Drive brand sales via events, marketing opportunities, and assortment recommendations
• Attend product, vendor, and internal education sessions
• Support floor recovery, visual merchandising, price changes, and related sales tasks
• Communicate with clients via phone, mail, and electronic methods
• Resolve customer service issues and escalate when required; comply with health, safety, privacy, and cyber security policies

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a commission-based sales environment
• Prior luxury retail product specialist experience preferred
• Proven ability to exceed sales targets
• Fully bilingual in French and English
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Collaborative team player able to multitask in a fast-paced environment
