Summary
Responsible for daily operations of the general office and operational functions of the jewelry department, supporting store opening and cash processes, jewelry receiving and processing, and ensuring audit readiness while assisting the sales floor as needed.
Responsibilities
- Open store procedures including safe, controller, and registers and distributing reports
- Maintain morning cash entry, process bank deposits, reconcile chargebacks, and count register and petty cash
- Receive verify and book jewelry and process re-tickets returns transfers and price changes
- Manage case counts reconcile discrepancies and maintain repair logs and invoices
- Process fulfillment orders special orders and statements of sale when requested
- Assist with trunk shows including receiving merchandise set up take down and recaps
- Communicate with corporate merchants accounts payable inventory control and vendors
- Maintain internal audit readiness monitor vault and safe contents and adhere to audit standards
- Provide floor support to managers and associates and perform ad hoc responsibilities
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 15 lbs climb ladders and handle racks and carts of merchandise
- Strong computer skills including Google and MS Office and ability to adapt to changing technology
- Ability to multi task in a fast paced team oriented environment with minimal supervision
- Flexible schedule availability and adherence to dependability standards
- Attention to detail and organized personal workspace
- Ability to apply store policies and procedures to support decision making
- Effective verbal and written communication and professional telephone and face to face interactions
- Maintain confidentiality when handling issues
