Summary
The Temporary Operations Associate oversees store inventory and stock areas following company standards, aims to minimize stock loss, maintain organized records, order supplies, and ensure proper handling and safeguarding of merchandise and assets through inventory control procedures.
Responsibilities
- Process shipping and receiving functions accurately and efficiently
- Maintain orderly stock and receiving areas and general store maintenance
- Process inbound freight, returns to vendors, chargebacks, transfers and damages per policies
- Support compliance of receiving practices with company policies and record keeping
- Ensure stock is security tagged to prevent loss
- Participate in inventory and cycle counts
- Assist with floor moves, merchandising, display maintenance and housekeeping
- Assist with price changes and packing customers merchandise when needed
- Attend store meetings and training as required
Requirements
- Previous retail stock shipping and receiving experience
- Ability to handle receiving operations and proper merchandise handling
- Strong interpersonal communication organization and follow through skills
- Ability to read count and write to complete documentation accurately
- Ability to process information and merchandise through computer systems
- Ability to operate required equipment including sensor tag remover and inventory systems
- Ability to adjust priorities in a fast paced environment and work varied hours including nights weekends and holidays
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and move handle heavy boxes and fixtures
